  • 24 hours of individual tuition, .
  • Every Tuesdays and Thursdays - once a week or twice a week
  • morning slots or afternoon slots 
  • freedom of creating what garment you like, we will support you and help you accomplish it
  • don't need previous experience
  • in a fully equipped fashion studio, we will teach you how to use sewing machines 

 

What is it About? 

This course is for those who want to create clothes their own way and are not satisfied with what the market has to offer. For the artistic students who are looking to make their own garments from scratch  or up style, re style what they have already bought. From the beginning of the course, you will start the processes of garment making. You don't need to have experience in drawing, sewing or pattern making, you just need to be creative and have ideas, we will help you develop your design into a wearable item.

Who is it for?

From 16 years upwards all those who wish to make clothes for themselves or their families. 

Learning Outcomes

This course will help sew the seeds of the principle processes of fashion and sustainable fashion, although short you will manage to make a few clothes. This could be the beginning or a little taster of a fashion career, or for someone who likes to do things for self learning.

The learner will be exposed to the following:

  • design sketches of the ideas in mind
  • select and give reason why a sketch has been chosen
  • pattern making and pattern designing the chosen design
  • placing and cutting the pattern on to the fabric
  • sewing the garment together 
  • fitting practice, making sure that the fits properly and correcting any mistakes needed
  • Finishing off the garment
