David Cutajar is an Honours graduate in Psychology from the University of Newcastle-Upon -Tyne in the UK (where he also read Spanish and Latin American studies as a minor subject) and holds a Master’s degree (MSc) in Applied Psychology from Cranfield University, College of Aeronautics, Human Factors Unit in the UK. He is the CEO and founder of People and Co. Ltd. (1995), one of the first firms in Malta set up to offer business and occupational psychology consultancy services and solutions, and CEO of People Contracting Services Ltd, formerly Reed Personnel Sevices Malta Co. Ltd. He is also an experienced IBM-SPSS Statistics and Data Mining Trainer and consultant.
David works in Recruitment, Training and HR Consultancy as well as in IBM-SPSS software sales and support (SPSS partner since 1997 and IBM-SPSS Business Partner since 2011).
David has extensive training experience including Leadership and Management Development Programmes, Occupational Testing, Personality Assessment, Statistics and Data Analysis, Survey Research, Customer Care, Teambuilding, Communications Skills, Sales and Negotiation Skills Training. He was at the forefront of introducing the Level A / B psychometrics standards to Malta. Current projects include work on Assessment and Development Centre with international business psychologists. David has also had experience in the voluntary sector with non-governmental environmental and human rights organisations, both in Malta and the UK. Through People & Co., he has developed outdoor teamwork and leadership programmes in Malta and Gozo. He is a keen Rugby Union player and certified coach for children to senior players, President and founder of Gladiators RFC- 2009 – Rugby 10s League Champions in 2013 (and other clubs and rugby youth sections prior to that) and has been involved in numerous Rugby initiatives in Malta. He has been involved in the Malta National Rugby Union squad on 5 occasions and capped four times and on the Malta Rugby Football Union Council. He is a recipient of the Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. David is married to Maria, a fashion designer and recruitment consultant and has two teenage children.
Other interests include: family, guitar, music in general, current affairs, sustainable development/ renewables, organic farming/ gardening, sports (esp rugby) , travel and the great outdoors!
