In line with BPS Level 2 Test User Occupational Ability  TUOA (formally Level A) and  TUOP ( formally Level B) standards run in conjunction with BPS-verified assessors.

OVERVIEW
Psychometric testing is widely recognised as one of the most effective
ways to ensure the right individuals are matched to the right job. This
time-efficient course uses a blend of e-learning and face-to-face training to
enable eligibility for BPS Level 2 registration.
At the end of the course, delegates will be able to confidently:


■ Evaluate and select appropriate ability tests for use in their organisation
■ Administer, score, interpret and feedback ability tests
■ Administer, interpret and feedback specified personality assessments
■ Understand how to apply ability and personality assessments in selection, development and team 
building
■ Link assessments to the competencies key to business success 
■ Integrate results from a variety of assessment methods to support decision-making.

This course provides the knowledge, understanding, and practical tools for ethical and fair assessments. Gaining this qualification enables you to select and administer tests in line with the British Psychological Society (BPS) recommended best practice, and other internationally recognised bodies such as the European Federation of Psychologists Association (EFPA), which set the standards in psychological testing.

We deliver the Combined Occupational Test User (formally known as Level A and Level B) training course, as a practical and concise BPS accredited programme that will only take 8 half days to complete (with  pre and post-course (portfolio) work) or 4 full days (different options for delivery  course format are possible )

  • Become eligible to register on the BPS Register of Qualifications in Test Use and the EFPA  Level 2 Euro-Test Certificate

  • The Combined Occupational Test User (personality and ability) course makes the best use of your valuable time by focusing on developing in-depth, no-nonsense practical techniques rather than making you sit through hours of theory.

 

  • During the five days, you will be exposed to a range of paper and online instruments available on the market, and complete case studies that simulate real-life business issues.

 

  • You will gain practical experience in using these instruments as well as a real understanding of how they fit within other methods of assessment.

Participant Commitment:

Participants are expected to attend for the direct contact hours as described above. These will provide the opportunity to work in small groups on case studies and individual skills assignments. Individualised feedback will be provided throughout the programme.

In addition to the direct contact participants must complete pre-, during and post-course assignments which form an integral part of the Certification process, these include:

  • Pre-course work (reading, portfolio and practice tests if requested)- circulated in advance- individual support available
  • Individual preparation for group skills practices and scenario based case studies completed within the course- allow up to 3 hours in advance of each module for preparation
  • Pst Course – Complete portfolios and written reports – individual support and feedback available

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for practitioners interested in talent management (selection and development) as well as career coaching:

Participants may choose Level A to focus on Ability assessment and/ or Level B to focus on personality (self report) assessment

Upon completion of this programme you will be qualified to obtain BPS / EFPA certification.
