What is it about?

This 4 hour programme focuses on the role of the Company Secretary in Maltese companies. The main aim of the programme is to provide a good understanding of the legal principles relevant to company secretaries and provide a practical context to each of them. The course will include case studies designed to reinforce key topics addressed throughout the sessions and to illustrate how to make use of the comprehensive practical guidance in the course notes.


Who is it for?

Individuals who aspire to be or have just been appointed Company Secretary of a Maltese company, all those individuals who hold senior management positions and want to gain an understanding of the legal responsibilities, role and duties of the Company Secretary, including mandatory MFSA returns. This course will also be useful to Financial Controllers, Company Directors, Accountants and Auditors, Lawyers/Law Students, and Corporate Services Providers.

The role of Company Secretary is a demanding and pivotal one. This course will provide you with a clear understanding of the role of Company Secretary, its legal responsibilities, a clear definition of the function and duties of the role within the Maltese legal framework.

Due to Covid-19, we have arranged for the upcoming sessions to be held online to ensure the welfare of both trainer and participants. This has been done in the past and has worked very well.
