This course is aimed for those students who wish to work and realise their ideas. Not only put their ideas on paper and not knowing what the outcome would be. It gives a clear understanding of what one can do with an idea by incorporating it in a pattern. The Bodice is considered to be the focal point of the garment. These skills are vital for any students who would like a career in fashion designing or pattern making etc. During this course, we will be making bodice blocks, basic dress Foundations and discovering different style variations which derive from the Bodice block. We will be covering different necklines, collars sleeves and all the creative design details! A designer’s dream to be able to manipulate the bodice with her/his own ideas.
This module focuses on what is needed to start pattern designing, such as: pattern designing tools, figure analysis, blending, trueing and equalizing, fabric grainlines and measurements.
