What is it about?


Effective communication skills are critical in the workplace. Such skills will enable you to build rapport, develop relationships and feel comfortable and confident around others. Effective communicators gain recognition, build stronger work relationships and deliver high-value results for themselves and their organisation. They are able to respond appropriately during difficult conversations and feel less pressure when communicating with their colleagues and managers.


Although verbal communication plays a large part in this, studies have shown that a large portion of our message comes from not what we say, but very often the non-verbal communication behind the message. Body language is an important, influential aspect of communication and understanding how it works is essential in the development of communication skills.
