What is it about? 

Operations Management is frequently called the ‘Engine Room’ of the Organisation. This is because every business has an ‘operation’ – their main task, the reason they exist. This is true for a little NGO up to a multi-national manufacturing organisation and every other type of organisation in between. The success of the organisation lies in how well the operation is managed and how fine-tuned it is with the other functions in the organisation such as finance, human resources, purchasing and marketing. 

This course is about the importance of operations management in light of the global economy, the need for planning, forecasting and control, supply chain management, project management and how to continuously improvement the operation.

 

Who is it for?                                                                                              

This course is suited for those who already work in some aspect of operations as well as those who want to start a career in Operations Management. (Employees who work in operations don’t always have the word ‘operations’ in their job title – it depends on the organisation).

 

This course is also suitable for any employee who is interested in how the operation of an organisation functions and how they can contribute towards it, even if from another part of the organisation.
